Almost all my life I have been advised by doctors to take statins. 13 years ago I had a quadruple bypass heart surgery. I was prescribed statins but never took them as I had known from the experiences of a few patients how fatigued they were since starting the medication. They recovered soon after stopping taking their statins.

After the heart surgery, I felt weak enough and did not want to bring statins into the equation too. However the advice was always relentless, that I take my statins as I had the highest cholesterol they had ever seen!

About seven years ago, I was assigned an endocrinologist who advised that I take an extremely expensive anti-cholesterol medication intravenously to reduce my bad cholestrol as a matter of urgency. I again refused.

About 2 years ago my heart went into fibrillation and I also developed acute pain. I was rushed to hospital where they immediately did angiography with a view to place a stent in a blocked artery if they found one. However after much viewing of all my arteries the cardiologist found no blockages either in my arteries or in the transplanted vessels.

There were no cholestrol blockages - inspite of my high cholesterol readings!

It may be worth you buying Dr Aseem Malhotra's book from Amazon.co.uk for a more informed choice conducting your own due diligence. I think Dr Makhotra's advice is going to ba as frank as it can get.

The photo below has an Amazon reader review on the right.
